An excerpt from Otniel’s essay: "My goal became to help myself reduce the stress and anger that I was feeling. Despite all the things that I had experienced in my young life. Many kids my age ended up smoking and making bad decisions and choices but I was able to focus my attention on playing basketball. Basketball helped me stay disciplined and motivated in my life.
