The recipient of the 2022 Emma L. Cunningham Memorial Scholarship is Tahani Rabah from Brooklyn Community High School for Excellence & Equity High School.
An excerpt from Tahani’s essay: "I wish I had someone to make me feel better about myself but all I had was me and I had to reassure myself and I had to always make myself feel better and that really does open your eyes and I never want anyone to feel the way I did. I want to be able to give people free care without them having to pay and worrying about the medical bills. I understand how hard it must be to pay off bills when all you want is your child to be healthy..."
