The recipient of the 2011 Emma L. Cunningham Memorial Scholarship is Sarah Bradley from Garner Magnet High School. Sarah will be attending Pitt Community College majoring in Nursing. The Scholarship will be presented to her at the Awards Ceremony on May 16, 2011. “I feel like every child in this world deserves to have at least one person who can show them love and affection. I can make that difference in that one child’s heart. There are some of us that get there in life with no problems and worries. In my case it’s not that way at all. I have worked hard in school trying my best to do what I needed to do to succeed at becoming a nurse despite all the obstacles that jumped in front of me….”  The donations you all provide continue to keep this scholarship giving to those in need that deserve an opportunity to succeed. My gratitude is endless and my Mother’s dream continues.
